celebrating the journey into parenthood...

Whether you are becoming a mother for the first time, or the 5th time, each and every pregnancy is a miracle and deserves to be documented. I treat lifestyle maternity photography just as I do any other family session: relaxed, fun, easy-going. I focus on the connection you have with your partner, your growing belly, and your other children if applicable. These sessions include photos of you individually, along with whoever else is involved. They typically take place between 30-34 weeks and can be done at an outdoor location or in the comfort of your home.

When is the best time in pregnancy to book maternity photos?

Maternity sessions typically take place between 30-34 weeks, but this can vary depending on how you’re feeling and personal preference. It’s ideal to have a defined bump by the time you do the photos, but not feel so pregnant that you are really uncomfortable.

Is this going to feel awkward?

I’ll be honest, it can at first -- more so if this is your first baby and you don’t have other children there to buffer the “awkwardness”. But, most people tend to ease up fairly quickly when they realize that I am a total nerd and there’s nothing to worry about. The best advice I can give is to loosen up, go with the flow, and just love on your partner and your bump!

I feel self conscious about my changing body. Can you help?

First of all, you’re growing a human being so cut yourself some slack. Second, I have a lot of experience with directing you in certain ways so that we capture you in the most flattering way.
